THE TANIWHA REFLOATED
SALVAGE WORK AT THAMES. DAMAGE NOT ASCERTAINABLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Thames, Sept. 25. The Taniwha, which struck a. snag in the Waihou River at Piiriri, and sank, was refloated with the assistance of the scow Motu on this morning's tide. At low water yesterday evening the crew got a collision mat into position. The Motu is pumping the water from the Taniwha. The damage is not yet ascertainable.
