In a report to be submitted to the Labour Party Conference at Llandudno on October 6 a parliamentary committee states that exclusive of the 289 Labour members of Parliament the number of prospective parliamentary Labour candidates endorsed for the next general election is I'sB. Organisations declared, to be ineligible for affiliation to the Labour Party include the league against Imperialism, the Left Wing movement, the minority movement, ‘the 'Workers’ international Relief Association, the National Unemployed Workers’ Committee movement. Friends of Soviet Russia and the International Class Prisoners’ Aid Society, all of which are described as auxiliary or subsidiary to the Communist Party. Members of these organisations are ineligible. to be individual members of the Labour Party, to be delegates : to the party locally or nationally, or to be candidates of the party for Parliamentary or local government elections. The committee adds that the existence of organisations ancilliary or subsidiary to the Communist International has been ' established without doubt and the technique of their organisation and propaganda has been elaborated by the Communist International.
