Invercargill, Last Night. i The weather was again nfavourable when the New -Zealand ladies’ hockey ciiainpionship for the K Cup was continued at the showgrounds this afternoon. The playing areas were still heavy but this handicap notwithstanding a fairly large crowd, of spectators, about GOl), was treated to some closely contested exhibitions of hockey. In the A section Wellington again secured a win, while the North Otago and West Coast elevens are now level and play off again to-morrow if) order to find which team will play the second eleven in the B section for the Holder Cup for the runners-up. Otago in the B section beat Eastern Southland A, which had not previously suffered defeat, by two goals to nil in a fast and exciting gaino which proved the most inspiring contest of the tournament. These elevens will again try conclusions to-morrow. The winner is to meet Wellington in the final for the cup. Following are the results: — A Section. West Coast I v. Southland 81. Wellington 5 v.
