The experts have definitely identified two bodies as those of Andree and Strindberg, the diary being on Andrees body. ) ; Andree's diary reveals that Fraenkel died while crossing the ice, which they were still doing on September 5. Strindberg died after the arrival at Giles Island and was buried by Andree, who himself appears to have succumbed after L wrapping his diaries carefully.
