In the last round the results were: — Middlesex v. Surrey—Middlesex in the first innings made 204 (Gregory took five wickets for 36), and in the second 294 (Hendren 92; Gregory took five wickets for 66, Alloin five for 7'B). Surrey in the first innings made 460 (Gregory 171, Fender 96), and in the second made 39 without a loss. Surrey won by ten wickets. Kent v.. Yorkshire. —Kent in the first innings niade 187 (Ashdowii 60); and iii the second 211 (Bryan 96; Robinson took four wickets for 38). Yorkshire in the firet innings made 443 (Leyland 112, Mitchell 101 not out); Yorkshire won by an innings and 45 runs. Derby v. Gloucester. —Derby in the first innings fiiade 172 (Parktjr took foul- wickets for 70), and in the second 182 (Parker took eight wickets for 62). Gloucester in the first innings made 176 (Dacre 52 not out), and in the'second lost two wickets for 180 (Hammond 84 not out). Gloucester won by eight wickets.
Worcester v. Nottingham.—Worcester in the first innings made 117 (Barratt took six wickets for 21)> -and in the second 00 (Larwood took eight wickets for 33). Nottingham in the first innings made 132 (Brooke took five wickets for 36), adn in the second 46 without loss. Nottingham won by ten wickets.
Warwick v. Essex. —Warwick in the first iiiiiin'gs made 257. and in the second 214. Essex in the first innings, made 552 for eight wickets and declared. Essex w-on by an innings and 51 runs.
Somerset v. Hampshire.—Somerset in the first innings made 545 for nine wickets and declared. Hampshire in the first innings made 458. Somerset won on the first innings.
