HOCKEY CLUB DANCE SUCCESS.
The Inglewood Ladies’ Hockey Club, which has done conspicuously well on the field this season, held a most successful dance and euchre party in the town hall on Thursday in aid of its funds. Eighteen tables were engaged at euchre with the following results: Mrs. Mischefski 1, Miss Nicholls 2; Messrs. Huzziff 1, and D. Allen, jr., 2. For the clancers music was supplied by Boulton’s orchestra. A hockey tournament for teams of ladies for the Kohaia Shield will be held in the Inglewood Park on Thursday when most of the clubs in Taranaki will be represented. DARLOW ROSE BOWL GOLF. . The final of the Darlow rose-bowl competition was played on. the Inglewood golf links ou Thursday. R. Darlow defeated. T. Winter by 4 up and 3 and thus won the bowl for thn ensuing year. \
