CONDITIONS IN THE DISTRICT. The Frankleigh Park Progressive Association met during the week. Mr. J. W. Spindler presided. The association regretted tho condition of the footpath on the Frankley Ifoad. It-was stated that the footpath was so uneven that it was almost impossible for a push-chair to be wheeled over it, apart from the. point, of. view of the ord'nary pedestrian. The. meeting realised that until such." time, as the road was widened there, could be no permanent footpath, but it was felt that the present one should ;at least be kept in a fair condition, which would, save piothers. and children the necessity of using the road, ■. J The association decided to approach the borough council 'fcgardi ng -the curtailment of the bustserviee.
