BRITISH MOTOR INDUSTRY/" GREAT REDUCTIONS IN PRICE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Aug. 27. There are. consistent reports that the British motor industry is about to begin the most determined bid for world markets yet undertaken. It is reported that one big factory will concentrate on a six cylinder chassis, meeting the requirements of all Dominions. Last year medium powered British care for the first time in motor history compared favourably with the price of their formidable competitors. This year British manufacturers will definitely lower prices. An instance of this is the announcement that one six cylinder chassis costing two years ago £425 and last year £375 is on the market to-day at £285. This coincides with other big reductions. The Daily Express says that the announcement has created profound interest in the United States. American agents in England have been warned to cable details forthwith. There is every indication that the coming motor show will be the most important ever held.
