SPECIAL LOAN OF £lO,OOO. pUBLIC Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act and Amendments, the Opunake Elec trie-Power Board proposes to borrow the sum of £10,000.' The particular purposes for which the loan is required are:— 1 For the provision of additional plant and equipment at the Board’s generj ating station for standby purposes. I 2. To extend the Board’s distribution ! system to enable a supply to be made available in all parts of the Board’s district. The sum proposed to be borrowed for purposes (1) is £3OOO and for (2) £7OOO. The security proposed for the payment of interest and sinking fund charges is a special rate on all rateable property situated within the Board’s district, sufficient to meet the said charges and ten per centum more than such charges. Repayment of the loan is to be provided for by the establishment of a sinking fund at the rate of eight per centum per annum on £2OOO and two per centum per annum on £BOOO.
