LOANS BOARD RESTRICTIONS
AUCKLAND CHAMBER'S SUPPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Aug. 28. Tho Auckland Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution to-day expressing approval of the action of the Local Government Loans Board in refusing to endorse uneconomic loan proposals placed before it. It passed a resolution that if tho many difficulties facing the railways at present are to bo solved the whole matter of railway construction and operation should bo divorced from political control and interference and placed under a commission or board of directors.
