TUMOUR PRESSURE ON BRAIN

TAKLRUTAX'GI WOMAN’S DEATH. An inquest into the death of Hilda Willis, aged 43, wife of John Willis, farmer of Henwood Road, Tarurutangi, was held in the New Plymouth Magistrate’s Court yesterday. After hearing the evidence the coroner) Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., returned a verdict of death caused by the pressure of a tumour on the brain. His wife had complained of headaches on Monday, said John Willis. On Tuesday morning she was worse so he called in the wife of a neighbour. In the afternoon his wife sank into a coma so he sent for the doctor. Dr. P. Cousin Davie said that when he arrived on Tuesday afternoon he found Mrs. Willis in a comatose condition. He examined her and found she was in a cerebral condition. He treated her and gave advice to Mrs. Greenway. He told them she was in a serious state and left instructions for them to ring him. A ring caine about seven that evening to say she was dying. He had arrived soon afterwards and found her dead. Being unable then to find the cause of death he had later performed a post mortem and found a tumour cm the brain.
