STEALING AT PUTARURU
SENTENCES OF IMPRISONMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Aug. 26. Bruce Merioiti, a young Maori, appearing on four charges of theft of clothing from workmen camping at Lichfield, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment at the Putaruru Court to-day. He had several previous convictions. Lester Crossbrom, who pleaded guiltyto stealing articles from motor-cars at Putaruru, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment.
