It has been arranged that, after the arrival in Wellington of the ashes of the late Sir Maui Pomare on Monday, a memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, conducted by Bishop Sprott, assisted by Canon Wilfred Williams, Wanganui, superintendent of the Maori church in thfe Wellington diocese, and some of the Maori clergy in the Wellington district. After the service the casket will be removed to the vestibule of Parliament House, where it will lie in state until the afternoon. The Natives of Porlrua and Wanganui have asked for calls to bo made at those places before the remains are interred at WaitarQ, but it has been found impossible to agree. Arrangements for the transport of the casket to Waitara remain as previously announced.:,' A special train leaves Wcllington on Thursday, night, to pick up Lady Pomare and the casket at Waikanae arid will proceed to Waitara, arriving early next morning. Several members of the legislature have intimated their desire to attend .the obsequies. The Government will te represented by Sir -Apiramt Ngata and Colonel Smith, M.L.C.
