. GENERAL ITEMS. The annual bazaar organised by members .of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held in the Inglewood Town Hall on Thursday afternoon and evening, and took the form of a Japanese fair, which met with great success. There was a record attendance, and the stalls did good business. During the evening a concert programme was presented by Miss Ruth Rowe (Waitara)", the Rev. R. McGregor (Waitara), Mrs. W. L, Jemis i (Tariki), Mrs. McKeen, Miss Retch and Mr. D, McAllister (Inglewood). By defeating Stratford -Technical High School at Stratford on Thursday afternoon the Inglewood third grade Rugby football team won the ■ central division and have now to meet Star in the final. The monthly meeting of the Tarata branch of the Women’s Institute- was held on Tuesday. A-“ Bring and Buy" stall arranged by the members did very good business, there being a number of visitors from the Inglewood branch, which helped to make it a success.
