SWEET-MAKING CORNER. TOFFEE. (Sent by Beth Greig.) One cup of flour, 1 dessertspoonful of. golden syrup, 2 dossertspoonsful cream, teaspoon cream of tartar, 2oz butter, salt, {lb chopped nuts. Put all into a saucepan except nuts. Mix until boils; boils 20 minutes. Mix nuts when cooked. COCOANUT ICE. Two cups sugar, | cup milk, butter size of an egg. Boil 20 minutes; add 4 tablespoonsful of cocoanut. Let boil a few minutes. Beat until thickens. Make half pink. HIS ANNA.
