According to the Daily Herald the banks known as the “Big Five” have decided in view of the Stock Exchange slump to reverse their policy of calling in loans advanced to ..reputable-firms on the security of stock and shares which has resulted in forced selling and heavy losses, and will call 'in only as a last resource.
