The five D.H. Moth aeroplanes belonging to the Auckland Aero Club have between them completed 2024 flying hours, since the club began operations on February 24, 1929. The total, which includes all flying up to last Sunday evening, has been made up chiefly by solo and passenger flights, although instruction work has accounted for many hours in the air. The record, says the New Zealand Herald, is/one that other aero clubs in New Zealand will have difficulty in equalling.
