A NATURALISED SUBJECT, Paris, Aug. 12. Primo Camera, the. Italian-born giant boxer, who took out French naturalisation papers before he began his ring career, was declared “fit for military service” by the Army Board of Appeal of St.. Germain-en-Laye, . He was registered as “absent from France.” <
If Camera fails, to perform his military service—due to begin in November —he will be classified as a deserter. and be liable to arrest on re-entering France.
The boxer took out his naturalisation papers when he was working as a bricklayer in France, and the French Government was threatening. to send imported workmen back to their own countries, as industry was not so prosperous as it is now.
