Provided those goods are light, of “natty” design, and keep reasonable in price, they have everything in their favour."Most peopleware called upon to economise nowadays. From the point of view of economy and ability to retain their “fresh” appearance, woollen goods stand unrivalled. No artificially produced fibre 'has the elasticity of wool. That special advantage is evident when woollen apparel, after some wear, is put away for a time. Despite some recentlypublished statements regarding the in- ; roads of artificial fibres in the world’s textile trade, we feel reasonably confident that the sheep’s staple jvill hold its own provided its cost does not get too high. July was a critical month in regard to wool prices, owing to the large supply of the raw material available in London.
