N.P.L.C.C. EUCHRE PARTY.
The first of a series of euchre parties took place in the Workers’ Social Hall last evening, under the auspices of the New Plymouth League Cycle Club. It is the intention of the club t-o hold such euchre parties every fortnight, The games were conducted by Mr. Beal, who was assisted by Messrs. Brown, Fields, and the cycle club’s committee. Mr. C. Area assisted at .the door. Forty-five tables were taken up. The ladies’ first prize was won by Mrs. Aubrey (14 games). Mcsdam.es C. Woodham, .0. Burns and J. Sutherland tied for the second prize with 13J games and the play-off ■ resulted: Mrs. • Sutherland 2, Mrs. 0, Burns. 3, Mrs. Woodham 4. The men’s, prizes were won by Mr. W. Coleman (17J games) 1, Mr. Mischeski (15J games) 2,. Mr. Coom.be (15 games) 3, Mr. ,N._ Bellri.ngpr, (14J games) ; The Welbourn hall committee decided not -to .run its euchre party,on the same nighty an action appreciated by the cycle club.
