UNINTERESTING AUCKLAND BOUT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. In a 15-round professional boxing contest to-night for a £l5O purse Dave Palmer, Victoria, lOst %lb, defeated Tommy Mclnnes, Scotland, lOst /lb, on points. The bout was uninteresting on account of the similar tactics adopted by each man throughout. Palmer scored chiefly with lefts and rights to the head while Mclnnes hit to his opponent’s body. The winner’s ad«. vantage in reach was very apparent, }n)y a small house watched the fight.
