J, Swindler and A. E. Pavis, joint secretaries, for the capable way they, had carried. out their duties. , The stated that the bank balance was £lO 13s Id and cash in hand £2 16s. The assets were valued at £66 3s sd. Entries for the three shows had netted •£9 7s, 6d, produce stalls £7 3s 6d, afternoon teas £3 9s 6d and door takings £ll 3s 9d. The chief items of expenditure had been advertising and printing £l7 19s, prizes £22 3s 6d and donations to the hall committee £7 Us. Officers were elected as follows: — President, Mr. H. Boswell; vice-presi-dent, Mr. N. Allen; secretary, Mr. A. E. Pavis; committee, Messrs, C. Harvey, E, T. Marsh, A. E. Pavis, J. Spindler, A. Williams, T. Paton, Mesdames N. Allen and E. Beale. The inauguration of members’ tickets was discussed and it was resolved that a fee of five shillings be charged. This would entitle the holder to a double admission and one free-entry to each show.
