MAN FORGES DIPLOMAS

APPLIED FOR TEACHERSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 13. Forged diplomas of B.Sc. and B. Comm, of the University, were' used by Dudley Keith Rayner, aged 30, lightkeeper, in an attempt to obtain a position as schoolteacher in New Zealand. He was to-day committed for sentence. In a statement to a detective he told him that he once held a position as paymaster in the Royal Navy. The diplomas were the work of a friend in England who was a printer and engraver.
