INTER-COLLEGE RUGBY
GREAT GAME ANTICIPATED. Tho Te Aute College first fifteen, which is to play the New Plymouth Boys’ High School fifteen at Pukekura Park on Saturday, is due in New Plymouth to-morrow. The visitors will be billetted in one of the boarding houses at the Boys’ High School. This fixture is regarded by both schools as the best of the year and has always provided a fast and spectacular game packed with incident from beginning to end. Keen play between the representatives of two of the Dominion’s leading football schools is only to be expected but the friendly and sporting rivalry existing between New Plymouth and Te Ante marks the match in some intangible way as something more, and the boys play hard from whistle to whistle. 1
The results of previous matches are: 1916, School' 9, Te Aute 3; 1923, School 18, To Aute 8; 1924, draw 3 all; 1925, Te Aute 3, School 0 (Moascar Cup); 1926, School 18, Te Aute 0; 1927, School 22, Te Aute 0; 1928, School 16, Te Aute 11; 1929, School 3, Te Aute 0. Of the eight matches School has won six, drawn 1 and lost 1. There are 89 points to School’s credit and 28 to To Ante.
