TARANAKI v. NORTH AUCKLAND. The Taranaki Rugby representatives will’be called upon to play the seventh representative match of the season today when they meet North' Auckland representatives at Victoria Park, Stratford, at 2.30. Taranaki this year has had a fairly successful season, with three wins (against Wanganui twice and Waikato), a draw (again<st_Auckland), and two losses (against Britain and Wellington). The fifteen selected to do battle for the province comprises the team that did so well on the recent northern tour. . ' • The North Auckland team, which arrived at Stratford on Monday evening and is billeted at the; Stratford Hotel, created a very favourable impression with those who viewed it nt practice in Victoria Park in the morning. In the afternoon the northerners were., motored to New Plymouth as the gueste of the Taranaki Rugby Union. The previous evening the majority of them visited the King's Theatre. A curtain-raiser, starting at 1 p.m. will be played between ners of the* Central junior competition, and City, winners of the Hawera Wednesday competition.
