IL Attempts io stimulate Australia s trade with th© East are being made at a conference between shipping, distributing and producing organisations. The Minister for Markets, Mr. P. J. Moloney, stated that a genuine attempt would be made to reduce shipping freights. Australia’s trade for the past three years with China, Japan, Hongkong, the Netherlands, East Indios, British Malaya, Siam, India and Ceylon aggregated £130,000,000.. A committee was formed to report on the best methods of developing trade.
