SOUTH ISLAND COMPETITION. By Telegraph.—Pres» Association. Christchurch,. Last Night. The South Island pigeon shooting sham* pi.onship was won on the Rangiora Gun Chib’s grounds on Saturday by. E. Lansdell (Lumsden)., W. G. Gerard (Hororata) being runner-up. There were 24 entries and the birds were shot on a 35 yards rise. Lansdell secured the gun club’s medal, and the prize money, £2B 16s, was divided between Lansdell, Gerard, M. Anderson, F» Truscott and A. Anderson.
