Hobbs is within 16 runs of Dr. VY. G. Grace’s aggregate record of 54,896 in first-clasg cricket. His 106 to-day makes his centuries 174. He has now scored 100 against every country, both at home and away. Results are.—

Surrey beat Sussex. —Surrey, in the first innings, made 265 (Hobbs lOu; Tate took seven wickets for 55), and in the second innings lost four for 154 (Ducat 71 not out). Sussex in the first innings made 262. Surrey won on the first innings. Worcester beat Derby.—Derby m the first innincs made 85 (Broake took six for 30), and in the second 186. Worester in the first innings made 309 (Root 80. Mitchell took five for 74R Worcester won by an innings and 38’ runs. s Gloucester beat Glamorgan. —Gloucester in the fin»t innings made. 230 (Sinfield 98; Mercer took five i for 64). Glamorgan in the first innings made 62 (Hammond took eight for 26), and followed on making 129 (Hammond took four fob 49). Nottingham in the fi rs t killings made 248 (Whysall 128, Freeman took six for 93). and in the second lost five for 91. Kent won oh! the first innings. Yorkshire drew with Leicester. Yorkshire in the first innings made _289 (Holmes 81; Geary took five for 54). Leicester in the first innings lost seven for 115. The match was drawn. Middlesex drew with Lancashire.— Middlesex in the first innings made 179. Lancashire in the first innings lost three for 49. The match, was drawn.

Northan.ts beat Hampshire.—Hampehire in the first innings made 60 (Jupp took six for 17); and in the second 153. Northants, in the first innings made 120, and in the second lost eight for 95. Northants won by two wickets. Somerset drew with Essex.—Somerset, in the first innings, lost eight for 162, and declared, Essex in the first innings made 48 without loss. The match was drawn.
