MINING DISPUTE SETTLED
COMPROMISE IN SOUTHLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. A dispute between the Wairaki Coal Company and miners employed by that company was settled at a sitting of the Conciliation Council to-day. It was agreed to open the mine on Monday and the union will supply the number of men required to- work the mine each fortnight. The employees employed by the company on July 28 are to share the work in turn.
