LIGHT AEROPLANE EXPLODES
PILOT KILLED NEAR SYDNEY.. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rcc. 7 p.m. Sydney, August 8. A Moth aeroplane crashed and fell over 1000 feet at Brighton Le Sands to-day. The pilot, J. Armstrong, aged 28, was killed. Spectators are of opinion that the petrol tank exploded in mid-air as Armstrong’s body fell a considerable distance from the machine horribly mangled and the burned tank was.found close to the body.
