STOWAWAYS ACROSS TASMAN
FIVE FROM WELLINGTON FINED CARGO BOAT DELAYED AT SYDNEY By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 1.8 a.m. Sydney, Aug. 8. The Waikouaiti sailed for New Zealand this afternoon, but a stowaway was discovered when the vessel was seven miles to sea. The. ship returned and landed him. When the Kawatiri arrived at Newcastle from Wellington to-day five stowaways were handed to the police. Each was fined £2 and ordered to pay £7 10s fare.
