RANSOM FOR MISSIONARIES
NETTLETON SUM AUTHORISED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. Rec. 10.25 p.m. London, Aug. 7. The Rev. Cash, secretary of the Church Missionary Society, announces that he has authorised the society s secretary at Foochow to pay the ransom for Misees Nettleton and Harrison if it is necessary. The women were captured bV bandits and recently the fingers of Miss Nettleton were sent with the demand for a ransom.
