RAID IN CROWDED PICCADILLY.

Two men drove up to a jeweller’s, smashed the window with a sledge hammer and escaped with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery. When assistants went to rush out of the shop they found the door securely roped. Meanwhile the car was- driven off speedily, scattering the crowds, and was lost in the traffic.
