CAPSIZE AT A BEND
■ MOTOR-CAR DRIVER KILLED. Otorohaiiga, Aug. 2. A well-known King Country settler, Mr. George Gadsby, son of Mr. William Gadsby, of Te Kuiti, the noted breeder of Jersey cattle and judge of stock, was killed this morning through his motorcar leaving the road at a sharp beud and turning completely over. Mr. Gadsby, who was about 50 years of age, was accompanied by Mrs. Gadsby, and was proceeding on the Mangawhero Road at Tahaia,' about eight miles from Otorohanga, toward this township. At a sharp bend of the road he is said to have come suddenly upon a cow,, which was standing across the narrow road. .He attempted to avoid the animal, and the' car slipped over the edge of the road. Mrs. Gadsby was not hurt.
Mr. Gadsby was" formerly at Oparure, and had only recently taken over' a farm in the Tahaia district.
