DEATH ON RUGBY FIELD
INJURY TO PLAYER'S BRAIN. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Ashburton, Last Night. The inquest on the death of James Farr, aged 25, captain of the Old Boys Rugby team, who died on July 26 as the result of head injuries received in a match that day, revealed that the match was a hard and fast one. A verdict was returned that Farr died from laceration of the brain and diffuse hemorrhage, the result of receiving a blow on the head from an opposing player’s knee. No blame was attachable to anyone.
