INQUIRY INTO RAILWAYS
INVESTIGATION IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night Having concluded its Auckland sitlino- the Railways Commission left for Wellington to-night. The Commission heard “evidence this morning from departmental officers and private individuals. In the afternoon the members inspected the locomotive running sheds, the new railway station and various booking offices in the city. An inspection of the Hutt locomotive shops will be made to-morrow and the Commission will spend the rest of the week in Wellington taking evidence from workshops officials and others. It will probably leave for the South Island next week.
