VETERINARY SURGEON INJURED By Telegraph.— Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. James Stafford, a veterinary .surgeon living at Springston, suffered injuries to the head when his car was struck by a Christchurch-bound express train at Dunsandcl at 4.39 this evening. The car was passing over (he level-crossing when the train struck it, carrying it 20 yards. Stafford was rendered unconscious and received medical attention on the spot. He was brought to Christchurch in the guard’s van. He recovered consciousness and was able to walk to the ambulance. He was admitted to hospital.
