BRITISH REGULATION SCHEME. ' EXPLANATION OF MEASURE British Wireless. Rugby, August 2. An explanatory memorandum states that the Agricultural Marketing Bill, published to-day, proposes to allow producers of an agricultural product to which the measure applies to regulate the marketing of that product by means of boards elected by themselves and in accordance with schemes submitted by themselves. It is proposed that such regulation should, be confined to products produced in the area to which the scheme . is applicable, and the scheme will be binding. on all producers of the regulated product in that area. The interests of the public and of individual producers are to be protected by requiring the Minister’s approval of the scheme ami Parliamentary sanction. Provision is made for producers to be protected by resort if necessary to arbitration. and the consumers’ committee to be established for every scheme will further guard the interests of the general public. Complaints against the schemes will be referred to a committee of investigation.
