DEATH OF WOMAN CYCLIST

STRUCK DOWN BY MOTOR-CAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Elizabeth Irvine, aged 24, was killed in Riccarton Road at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday by being knocked down by a passing motor-ear. Miss Irvine was riding a bicycle opposite St. James Church, lower Riccarton, when a car coming from behind her struck her. She died almost immediately. ’The driver of the ear was E. C. Mann, a farmer, of Templeton.
