KAHIKA TOSSED IN STORM
RESCUE BY GISBOR.SE . TUG. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 1. The Kahika, en route from Gisborne to Dunedin, experienced a full share of the stormy southerly that has just concluded. The vessel could make no headway, but was driven northwards. The Kahika was running short of bunker coal and the Wainui was dispatched from Gisborne on Wednesday night to her assistance. She has the Kahika in tow and is expected to reach Gisborne to-day (/ She picked up the Kahika on Thursday in the vicinity of East Cape.
