AUSTRALIA-ENGLAND FLIGHT

AN ATMOSPHERE OF MYSTERY. By Telegraph- Press Assn.—Copyright. < Sydney, July 31. There is an atmosphere of mystery in regard to the proposed flight from Australia to England. The aviator’s name is A. T. Cunningham, not Pentland. He is a member of tho Aero Club, and had resided in Federal capital territory. It was stated that Mr. Gerald Pentland, a Sydney airman, left Mascot aerodromo at 6.30 o’clock for England, in an attempt to beat Mr. Bert Hinkler’s time between the two countries. Pcntland waa flying an Australian machine called “Genairco.” He was well known in flying circles in Australia, and lias a splendid air war record.
