FATE OF CONTRACTOR. New York, July 22. Mr. Philip Rum bold, aged 60, a wealthy contractor, of Tonawanda, New York, kissed his wife and seven children good-bye yesterday and crossed into Canada dr.ving alone in his own motorcar, intend.ng to spend a fishing holiday. This morn.ng workmen, found Mr. Rum bold murdered in the seat of his ear. His hands were tied, behind him and his pockets had been .rifled of about £lOO.
