WEDDINGS.

aTKrStSON—ROSS.: A pretty pink evening wedding look place at *Knox. Church, Inglewood, on Wednesday, .June 25,. when- Gwendoline, the second daughter of Mr. and. : -Mrs. W. .M. Ross, ■ Rata Street,. Inglewood, was married, to George. Frederick,;-see-ond eon of Mrs., and the”late ,-Mr.■■A. E. Atkinson, “Sproston,”■lnglewood. The. ceremony, which was: fußy.- : choral, was .performed .by- the Rev. R.,-Stuart--Keenan,., and; the. wedding played b-y. Mma. Winnie - Larson* '.-..The bride,..who was.giv6n-away.oy.her.fath--er, wore a'sleeveless frock of . shell pink crepe de chine and silver lace with, a .deep square capo falling from the shoulders.- The bodice was- early Victorian, close fitting, and had a skirt-, with an uneven hemline. The veil.-of-.pale-pink net was held in place by an . orange blossom coronet, and the bride : .carried a bouquet of pale pink sweet peas, carnations, and maiden-hair fern with pink streamers. The stockings ( were pale pink with gold brocade shoes. The chief bridesmaid'was Miss’ Phjiljis (Jillian, a friend’of the bride, and vyith f her was Miso Janet Ross, sister of the bride. They wore respectively sleeveless frocks of " blush rose . and cameo pink...crepe de chine. The long clds.e fitting ; . bpd- ; ice was caught at the back with a large bow. The skirts with uneven hemline were relieved with. three rows of pipot edged frills. The hats were of..soft felt to match, and ‘they carried bouquets of pink heath and asparagus ’'fern.', ’The three tiny flower girls, Joan and RHpda Clough, nieces of " the bfidcgroq'ni," and June; Ross, nieep of’the,bride, .were’clad in early Victorian frocks in .graduaung shades of sunset pink, with dainty’frills from ' the waist' to" the hemline. Their little caps were with orange blossom and their baskets of Howers completed an artistic and harmonious ensemble. Mr. Noel Ross acted as best man and Mr. Graham Ross as groomsman. ’ . After the ceremony the guests were received by the bride's parents in the Presbyterian Social Hall, where the wedding breakfast was held. Mrs* Rp/?« wore a light brown ensemble . sujt. and carried a posy- of violets. Mrs, Atkinson, the bridegroom’s mother, wore;, a navy blue maroeain frock . with hat. ,to tone and carried a posy of violpts. Later the couple left for Christchurch <m their honeymoon, the bride travelling in of grey celanesc arid clrmi’lc fur coat. The .bridegroom’s ‘present ..to the bride was a beautiful fox fur. ..
