• ' METHODS IN AMERICA. New York. July 22. • Dr. .Lorenz Boehler, head of the Industrial Hospital in Vienna, visiting the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, demonstrating a new method of “miracle treatment” for fractures. He gives a local anaesthetic of an ounce of 2 per cent, novocaine after the X-rays hafve been taken and the fracture charted. Then the limb is put in- a cast and in a short while the patient is invited to use it. . A young woman smiled and chatted ■with the doctor while lie worked on her broken ankle. She will return to her work as a typiste to-day.
