Rec. 10.20 p.m. Brisbane, July 31. The Premier announced the purchase by the Queensland Government *f Swift’s huge meat works on the Brisbane river for £490,000. The works will he converted into abattoirs by Swift’s at. a cost of £lOB,OOO.
