BLACK MONTH FOR CRICKET
ENGLISH CLUBS’ HEAVY LOSSES.

Rec. 10.20 p.m. London, July 31. The extent to which July has been a black month for cricket owing to the weather is indicated in Sporting Life, which says county clubs have suffered heavy losses. Yorkshire had only one day’s play m the last three matches. There have been 16 county matches in which no decision hag been reached on th first innings. The Australians’ and the M.C.C. receipts were depleted, and players also suffered individually.
