ENGLAND-AUSTRALIA FLIGHT
ATTEMPT TO LOWER RECORD. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. Sydney, July 31. Mr. Gerald Pentland, a Sydney airman, left Mascot aerodrome at 6.30 o’clock this morning for England in an attempt to beat Mr. Bert. Hinkler’s, flying time between the two countries. Pentland is flying an Australian machine calial “Genairo” He is wellknown in fly ng circles in Australia, and has a splendid air war record.
