ALLEGED THEFT OF £80
MAN CHASED AT ADDINGTON. By Telegraph..—Press Association. Christchurch, July 31. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day Herbert Ormond Lawrence, aged 30, was remanded to August 5 on charges of stealing £BO, the property of the Government, from the Addington post office yesterday. Bail was allowed in self £2OO and one surety of £2OO. It is alleged that tho money was stolen from the counter while tho clerk had his back turned and that it was later recovered from a hedge after a ohtifie down the street. ,
