GENERAL ITEMS. At Tuesday’s meeting of the South Taranaki Rugby Referees’ Association Mr. A. R. Elgar, on behalf of the City Football Club gave a donation of 10s 6d. Charged with being in arrears in respect of a maintenance order in favour of his child, Bernard Reginald Murray was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., at Hawera yesterday. The magistrate made an order that the warrant be suspended as long as defendant pays 15s weekly, being the amount of the order (10s) and 5s off the arrears. The Otakeho ladies’ hockey team defeated Opunake on Wednesday by two goals to one.
