STRIKE OF N.S.W. SHEARERS
TEST CASES HEARD IN COURT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. Rec. 8.55 p.m. Sydney, July 23. Shearing at a few country centres is being held-up by strikers against the new award. The Graziers’ Association has warned the recalcitrants that their positions may be filled with volunteer labour. Seven shearers were prosecuted at Moree to-day for failure to comply to the award. Each was fined £5. These are regarded as test cases. The union is appealing.
